Blast Furnace Funnies

Storeyville discovery

I found a box at my dad's house labeled "Protected Storeyvilles" - I couldn't believe it! Here it is, the LAST BOX OF STOREYVILLE. All the others were destroyed in the fire at my mom's house. No joke. So I took this box to Bill Boichel's Copacetic Comics shoppe and opened it - on camera. Bill is selling these for me - a Pittsburgh exclusive. This is it - last call.

New Project
I need money to buy time to work on my new comic. So I am selling drawings and selling my back issue collection. I decided to combine the two activities. Here are 15 drawings I did during my road trip from Pittsburgh to New Mexico. The theme was Number Ones from the Black and White Explosion era of the '80s. There's a few '90s ones.
I'm not giving these away. One drawing and one comic equals one "pack". Each pack is $25 postpaid. This is the new regime. It's more fundraiser for me to keep on drawing my new comic than it is a back issue sale. My plan is just to make a ton of these and keep putting them up here for sale. 25 bux is what I need to make it worth it for me to go through the motion of selling these right now. Five bux goes to shipping (mailed in a Priority Mail pack with solid cardboard) and a dollar goes to PayPal. So I'm getting 19 bux each for these when I sell them. That sounds fair to me. Fair to you? Good. Thanks.

I need your money for a project. The project is: help little Frankie (that's me) get his life back together.
I am traveling from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to New Mexico (3 days drive!) and I need help. I need 200 bux to get my car inspected and ready to roll. So I went through my comic book collection and made up some back issue sets to sell. I made ten sets of ten comics each. The wackier the combinations the better. Then I drew a sketch of one of the comics in each set. Then I made a big wingnutty hype-up list of what is in each set where I describe why I collected the comic in the first place. Click on the scans of the lists below to enlarge. The sketch and the list and the comics are what you get for the price of admission. The sketch is a one-of-a-kind marker drawing on an acid free backing board and IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE. The wingnutty list is also on a backing board and this is how I packaged the sets themselves. Two separate boards.
For those of you who know what SPX is - well, I'm not gonna make it this year. And SPX is where I like to set up shop and sell old comic books. It's great but also a ton of money to drive down there - for me and for everyone else. So, it got me thinking about how I might be able to sell my collection online. If I can't lean across the longboxes and do my routine for you in person then this is the next best thing. I decided to do more of an art project than just have a fire sale. Please enjoy. I had fun making these.
20 bucks each. 5 bucks shipping. That's $25 a set. I'm practically giving them away. It's like you only had to spend five bucks on gas to go to SPX - and you got to spend twenty dollars at my table. I'm making super deals. I put a nice, weird set of stuff together for you. What? You have that issue of Yummy Fur? Well, give it to a friend.
